Terms of Service

We provide automatic-car driving lessons, learner driver training and Drive Test preparation in Seymour and surrounding areas of Mitchell Shire, Victoria, with pick-up and drop-off in our service areas.

• Lessons are for learners aged 16 and over.
• If the learner is under 18, a parent or guardian must consent to the lessons, and should make the booking on the learner’s behalf and agree to these terms.

• Sending an enquiry or choosing a time on the website is a request, not a confirmed booking. A lesson is confirmed only when we contact you and agree on the time.
• Available times shown on the site may change before we confirm.
• You must give accurate details, including your licence status and pick-up address.

• Prices on the site are a guide and may change. The price we agree with you when booking applies.
• We accept cash and bank transfer. Bank details are given when you book.
• Payment is due either at the time of booking (for example, a package) or straight after your lesson, as agreed with us when booking.
• Packages are valid for 12 months from the date of payment unless we agree otherwise in writing.

• Rescheduling a lesson: give us at least 24 hours’ notice and we’ll move it at no charge, subject to availability.
• Late cancellation or no-show: if you cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice, or don’t turn up, we may charge up to 50% of the lesson fee. If you are more than 15 minutes late, we may shorten the lesson but still charge the full fee.
• Cancelling your booking or package and asking for a refund: we refund the unused portion of what you paid, minus a 10% administration fee on that unused amount. A lesson that has started counts as used.
• Example: you pay $500 for 5 lessons at $100 each and stop during the 3rd lesson. Two lessons ($200) were used, the unused amount is $300, the 10% fee is $30, and you receive a $270 refund.
• If we cancel a lesson, or can’t provide the service, you can choose a new time or receive a full refund of the unused amount, with no fee.
• Refunds are paid by bank transfer, or cash where you paid by cash, within a reasonable time after we confirm the cancellation.

• If heavy rain or other unsafe conditions mean a lesson can’t go ahead safely, or your instructor is unwell, we’ll reschedule it at no charge.
• For learners who are experienced or doing a refresher, we may agree with you to continue the lesson in light rain. The final decision on safety is always the instructor’s.

• Bring your valid learner permit (or licence) to every lesson, and glasses or contact lenses if your licence requires them. If you don’t, we may be unable to run the lesson and it may still be charged.
• Arrive ready to drive and not affected by alcohol, drugs or anything that impairs your driving. We may end a lesson immediately if safety is at risk, and the lesson may still be charged.
• Follow your instructor’s directions and all road rules.
• Tell us beforehand about any condition that may affect your driving so we can plan safely.

Licence and Drive Test information on this site is general only. Rules change, so always check current requirements with VicRoads. We don’t guarantee you will pass any test.

• Don’t misuse the site, attempt to break or overload it, or submit spam or false information.
• Comments must be lawful and respectful. We may edit, refuse or remove any comment at our discretion.

We only show photos and stories of past clients with their consent (or a parent or guardian’s consent where the client is under 18). For clients under 18, faces are blurred. Any client can ask us to blur their face or remove their photo or story at any time by emailing winstonsdrivingschool12@gmail.com.

The site’s content, logo, design and photos belong to Winston's Driving School or are used with permission. Please don’t copy or reuse them without written permission.

The site links to or embeds third-party services (such as Google Maps and Facebook). We’re not responsible for their content or practices.

Our services come with guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law that can’t be excluded, including that services are provided with due care and skill. Nothing in these terms limits those rights. Subject to that, and to the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this website.

We may update these terms from time to time; the version on this page applies. These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and the courts of Victoria have jurisdiction.
